Canada · The fine print
The routes are real, but they are queues, not invitations. What follows is the structure from official sources - no points cutoffs, no fee tables, nothing that churns faster than we can verify it.
Express Entry - Federal Skilled Trades
Two years of trade experience in the last five, plus EITHER a full-time Canadian job offer of at least a year OR a provincial certificate of qualification. A language test (CLB 5 speaking/listening, CLB 4 reading/writing). No degree required. It is points-ranked - eligibility is the start of a queue, not the end of one.
Red Seal - make your papers travel
Provinces certify trades; the Red Seal endorsement makes that certification portable across Canada. Getting UK qualifications assessed runs through a provincial apprenticeship authority - start there, not with an agent.
The employer route - LMIA
An employer who cannot fill the job locally can apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment to hire you on a work permit. The employer applies and the employer pays - that fact is your scam detector.
