Here's what's actually open.

• Salary floor: £41,700. General Skilled Worker salary minimum from 22 Jul 2025 — the higher of £41,700 or the occupation's going rate; Health & Care and some listed roles use lower floors.
• Degree-level roles only. Since 22 Jul 2025 most sponsorable roles must be degree-level (RQF6). Sub-degree roles need the Temporary Shortage List — current entries expire 31 Dec 2026 and TSL workers cannot bring dependants.
• Care route closed. The care worker route CLOSED to new overseas applicants on 22 Jul 2025.

From the Philippines?

The Philippines–UK nursing route is one of the world's biggest legitimate work corridors, recruited under a government-to-government ethical agreement. It is also the most scammed. Four rules keep you safe:

1. 1Go through a DMW-licensed route. Overseas placement must be DMW-cleared — usually a licensed agency, though DMW also runs a lawful direct-hire process. Either way the licence/clearance is checkable free at dmw.gov.ph. No DMW clearance, no deal — whatever they promise.
2. 2Never pay a placement or agency fee for a UK health job. Under the UK's ethical-recruitment rules the employer covers recruitment costs. You will still pay your own personal costs (English test, NMC application, visa and health surcharge) — those are normal. But a fee to getthe job, or to “guarantee” placement, is the scam tell — walk away.
3. 3Nursing is open; care work is not.Nurses: NMC registration (CBT at home, OET/IELTS, OSCE after arrival) then the Health & Care Worker visa. Anyone selling UK care worker sponsorship from overseas is selling a route that closed in July 2025.
4. 4Check the employer yourself, free, on the official sponsor register below. If they are not on it, they cannot sponsor you.
