Dubai & UAE · The fine print
Tax-free pay is true. Almost everything else in the reels is left out. Here is what live ads actually offer, what the visa actually is, and the honest comparison with staying put.
92%
of the 455live Dubai & UAE trade ads we scanned today won’t tell you the money. Only 37 showed pay — our board lists only those.

Careerjet live ads, 2026-08-04 — medians only where at least 5 ads showed a monthly figure; midpoint of any advertised range. £ conversion: ECB reference rate via frankfurter.app · AED pegged to USD at 3.6725 since 1997, 2026-08-04. The UAE publishes no official trade-level wage statistics — advertised pay is all anyone has.

Dubai site manager · advertised
£1,823/mo
AED 9,000/mo tax-free — median of the 8 ads that showed pay (range AED 6,250–AED 10,125)
Read that honestly: the UK median site manager keeps nearly twice the advertised Dubai median, before housing on either side. These are different measures — official earned pay versus what ads offer — but the direction is the point: the tax-free badge alone does not close that gap.
Where Dubai can win: the top of the advertised range, senior and oil-and-gas roles, and packages where accommodation and transport are genuinely included — free housing changes the maths more than the tax does. That detail lives in the ad text, which is exactly why we only list ads that show their numbers.
Employer-sponsored, always
Every job comes with a work permit your employer sponsors — typically 2 years, renewable. No employer, no visa.
Tied to your employer
Changing jobs means transferring sponsorship. Leaving a job starts a clock on your right to stay.
No path to permanent residency
However long you stay, there is no route to citizenship and no state pension — an end-of-service gratuity is what replaces it.
Information, not legal or immigration advice — verify every detail with the employer and official UAE government sources before committing.
