HGV Class 1 Driver - Long Buckby, Northamptonshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing regular work, no handball, and immediate starts. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, or Truck Driver. Shifts • Monday to Friday (Weekend overtime may be available) • 05:00 - 06:00 start times • Average 9-11 hour shifts • Ongoing, full-time work Rates of Pay • Monday to Friday - 18.00 per hour • Saturday - 21.00 per hour • Sunday - 23.00 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Weekly pay • No handball work • Ongoing, stable full-time work • Immediate starts available • Well-maintained vehicles and modern fleet • Potential long-term and permanent opportunities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include: • Completing bulk tipper deliveries of grain • No handball required • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift • Ensuring loads are secure and compliant with regulations • Following planned delivery schedules and routes efficiently • Complying with all road traffic legislation and company procedures Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: • A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum of one year's HGV Class 1 (Category CE) driving experience • A valid Driver CPC Card • A valid Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • A professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach Desirable Experience • Previous bulk tipper driving experience is advantageous but not essential Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, click apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
