Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) – Suffolk

We are currently recruiting caring, reliable and compassionate Healthcare Assistants for temporary and ongoing assignments across Suffolk. You will support individuals with their daily needs while helping them maintain their dignity, independence and wellbeing. Assignments may be available within residential homes, nursing homes, supported living services and other care settings. Key Responsibilities • Supporting individuals with personal care and daily routines • Assisting with washing, dressing and mobility • Supporting with meals, hydration and nutrition • Providing companionship and emotional support • Encouraging independence and choice • Supporting individuals to access activities and appointments • Following individual care plans and risk assessments • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns • Completing accurate care records and handovers • Maintaining dignity, privacy and professional boundaries • Following safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures • Working closely with permanent staff and other care professionals About You We are looking for candidates who are: • Caring, patient and respectful • Reliable, professional and responsible • Confident communicating with individuals and care teams • Comfortable providing personal care • Able to follow care plans and workplace procedures • Flexible and available for a range of shifts • Committed to delivering safe and person-centred care Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker is preferred. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred but not essential, depending on the location of each assignment. Shift Availability Assignments may include: • Day shifts • Evening shifts • Weekend shifts • Waking nights • Bank holiday shifts • Short-notice and ongoing placements Shift availability will depend on current service requirements and locations.
