Multi-Skilled Plasterer • Location: Bury Council, Bolton, BL2 • Job Type: Full-time, Contract (3 months) • Pay Rate: 23.00 - 25.00 per hour (PAYE) Bury Council are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Plasterer to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role requires a professional who can perform a variety of plastering and tiling tasks, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety in occupied properties and council buildings. Day-to-day of the role: • Carry out plastering tasks including patch repairs, skimming, and finishing works. • Perform general multi-trade tasks as required. • Work within occupied properties, maintaining high standards and efficiency. • Ensure all jobs are completed safely and meet operational standards. • Use tablets to order materials and complete work orders. • Engage in multi-skilled repairs as per the agreement, including responsive and planned repairs, empty homes reinstatement, and capital investment projects. • Operate and maintain all issued plant and equipment safely and according to guidelines. • Manage waste and recycling materials appropriately. • Conduct diagnostic assessments of tenant-reported repairs and communicate effectively with planners. • Adhere to Bury Council’s Health and Safety Policies and ensure compliance with risk assessments. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience in plastering and multi-skilled works. • Good customer service skills. • Own tools and transport preferred. • CSCS card. • Ability to use IT systems effectively (e.g., PDAs or iPads). • Full UK Driving Licence. • Commitment to safe work practices and ability to follow safety guidelines.
