Multi Trader – Carpenter Brighton (covering Crawley, Redhill and Haywards) Up to 36,000 Would you like to join Hyde as a Multi Trader - Carpenter? If you’re a hands-on tradesperson who can turn their hand to a range of jobs and takes pride in doing things properly, we’d like to hear from you. As a Multi Trader - Carpenter at Hyde, you’ll be working in our homes carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance. You’ll be trusted to get jobs done right first time and to treat our customers with respect in their homes. What you’ll be doing • Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance • Fixing day-to-day issues such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks, walls and flooring • Completing patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and similar finishing works • Working on your own jobs but also alongside other trades when needed • Following work orders and reporting back on progress and materials used • Working safely at all times and following Hyde’s health and safety procedures • Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes • UPVC Repairs & Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining windows and doors, including replacing hinges, handles, and locking mechanisms. • Installing new Fire doors, including cutting and adjusting frames. What we’re looking for • Solid experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plumbing and plastering • Confident using hand and power tools • Able to work independently and manage your own workload • A practical problem-solver who can spot issues and fix them properly • Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude • Physically fit and happy with hands-on work • Experience working in social housing is a bonus • A full, valid UK driving licence • Must have UPVC skills Skills and Experience • Proven experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance. • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. • Knowledge of trade-specific techniques, materials, and safety protocols. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour. • Experience working in social housing is desirable • Valid driver's licence Benefits • A fantastic pension • Life assurance • Great holidays • Van • Uniform • Fuel Card You’ll be working for an organisation that values skilled trades and the role they play in keeping homes safe, comfortable and well maintained.
