Cleaner • Hourly Rate: 13.45 • Location: Medico Legal Centre (S3) plus various locations across the city if required • Job Type: Part-time (15 hours per week) 3.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday We are seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our client, primarily to cover sickness at a medico-legal office, focusing on public and administrative areas. This role requires flexibility to work across different sites within the city, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Day-to-day of the role: • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all assigned areas across various buildings. • Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures specific to each site. • Use cleaning equipment, materials, tools, and machinery safely and effectively, following risk assessments and manufacturer guidance. • Perform typical cleaning duties such as surface cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing floors, sanitising areas, carpet shampooing, vacuum cleaning, polishing, and dusting. • In catering and dining areas, clear food waste, load and unload dishwashers, and store cleaned items properly. • Use ICT systems for reporting damages or failures to meet standards. • Undertake specialist or deep-cleaning tasks as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience in a cleaning role. • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe storage and disposal. • Basic health and safety knowledge within a cleaning environment. • Functional literacy and numeracy skills to understand written information and complete records. • Ability to work independently with limited supervision. • Good customer service and communication skills. • Flexible approach to working hours and locations.
