Commercial property cleaner

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and self-motivated Commercial Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness across four commercial buildings in Clerkenwell, London EC1M. You will be employed directly by the landlord and will take responsibility for completing cleaning duties independently across the allocated properties. This role is suited to someone who is organised, proactive and confident working alone, with the ability to identify cleaning requirements and take initiative without constant supervision. Working hours: 6:00 pm–2:30 am, Monday–Friday with 22 days holiday, plus statutory bank holidays. Key Responsibilities • Clean and maintain four commercial buildings to a high standard. • Carry out routine cleaning of offices, communal areas, corridors, stairwells, entrances, kitchens and toilet facilities. • Sweep, vacuum and mop floors. • Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture and fixtures. • Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately. • Clean and sanitise washrooms, kitchens and high-touch areas. • Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required. • Identify areas requiring additional attention and take appropriate action. • Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards or concerns to the property manager. • Ensure all buildings are secure and left in an appropriate condition after cleaning. • Use cleaning products and equipment safely and follow all relevant health and safety procedures. • Maintain a professional and respectful manner while working within occupied commercial properties. Essential Requirements • At least two years’ previous commercial cleaning experience is essential. • Experience working independently and managing cleaning duties without direct supervision. • Ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks effectively. • A strong eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards. • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy. • Able to manage workload efficiently across multiple buildings. • Good communication skills. • Ability to follow health and safety procedures and use cleaning products safely. • Comfortable working alone during evening and overnight hours.
